Samples of solids from local wastewater are tested for targets associated with infectious diseases
Beginning July 1, 2024, the Marlay Taylor Water Reclamation Facility in Hollywood, MD, began participating in the national wastewater surveillance program, WastewaterSCAN.
WastewaterSCAN monitors infectious diseases through municipal wastewater systems to inform public health response. The program monitors for the following infectious diseases:
Mon – Fri: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Mon – Fri: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Mon & Thurs: 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
Tues, Wed, & Fri: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
