- HealthChoice and Medicaid Benefit Education
- Help you understand your HealthChoice benefits and how to access services
- Explain your MCO choices
- Explain your annual right to change MCO
- Explain how to renew your Medicaid benefits through the Maryland Health Connection
- Access to Providers and Plan Assistance
- Help you find a primary care doctor or specialist in your MCO’s network
- Help you find a dentist
- Help link you to Medicaid transportation services
- Help you get your prescriptions filled
- Provides support for pregnant women, children, and those with special health needs
- Refers to mental health, substance use, housing, and food resources as needed
- Advocacy
- Explain how to keep your information updated and how to get a new Medicaid card if your card is lost or stolen
- Help you resolve a billing issue
- Advocates for recipients in resolving issues with MCOs
- Provider and Community Collaboration
- Educates local providers and partners on ACCU services
- Facilitates communication between community stakeholders and Medicaid programs
