LEONARDTOWN, MD (July 29, 2019) – The Behavioral Health Action Team (BHAT) of the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership invites youth mentoring programs in St. Mary’s County to participate in a round table discussion on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Meeting Room B at the Lexington Park Library.
“Youth mentoring programs are proven to be a key prevention and intervention strategy that positively impacts the lives of children and youth,” said Maryellen Kraese, BHAT member and Prevention Administrator at the St. Mary’s County Health Department. “BHAT is committed to identifying the gaps in youth mentoring services and working with our local partners to seek out the resources needed to bolster these programs within our community.”
