LEONARDTOWN, MD (April 6, 2026) – The Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership is inviting all who live, work, study, or spend time in St. Mary’s County to share their perspectives through the 2026 Community Health Assessment (CHA).
The CHA is conducted every six years to better understand the health needs, concerns, and priorities of our community, with a mid-cycle assessment conducted at the three-year mark to track progress and emerging issues. Community input is a critical part of this process – helping ensure that local health improvement efforts reflect the lived experiences and real-world challenges facing residents. Survey responses will be combined with local data to identify priority areas for action. Previous assessments have helped elevate issues such as behavioral health, chronic disease, environmental health, and violence, injury, and trauma.
Community members can complete the survey online at healthystmarys.com/cha2026. The survey is available in both English and Spanish and takes only a few minutes to complete.
Those interested in ongoing community health improvement efforts are also encouraged to join the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership, a coalition of local organizations, agencies, and residents working together to improve health in St. Mary’s County. Membership is free, and all are welcome to participate in our monthly virtual meetings. Learn more at healthystmarys.com/membership or email stmaryspartnership@gmail.com to sign up.
