Maryland Medicaid covers a wide range of health services, including doctor visits, hospital and emergency care, prescriptions, mental health and substance use treatment, and pregnancy care. Adults and children receive full dental coverage.

  • Online by visiting the Maryland Health Connection Website
  • Over the phone by calling 1-855-642-8572
  • For in person assistance, contact the St. Mary’s County Health Department via phone at 301-475-4330 or email to smchd.mchps@maryland.gov. In-person assistance is available at the following locations and times
    • Main Office in Leonardtown: Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  
    • Health Hub in Lexington Park: Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
    • Both sites are closed for lunch from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m.
    • Walk-ins are accepted until 4:00 p.m
