Community Violence Prevention Day

We are excited to invite you to Community Violence Prevention Day!
 
This event is hosted by the Violence, Injury, and Trauma (VIT) Unit of the St. Mary’s County Health Department and The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department. CVP Day is designed to bring our community together to promote safety, resilience, and connection.
 
We will be distributing FREE gunlocks and gun safes while supplies last!
Activities during CVP Day include – Photo Booth – Sweet Treats – Food Trucks – Music – Face Painting – Games and more!
 
Come Collaborate with local organizations and community leaders to address the root causes of violence.
 
Let’s Foster connections between families, schools, and resources to build a more resilient community.
 
Help Engage youth and families with programs, resources, and activities that inspire growth, leadership, and hope for the future.
 
Community Violence Prevention Day is more than an event—it’s a movement to strengthen our neighborhoods, support our
families, and promote overall health and well-being. Together, we can create a safer, healthier, and more vibrant community for everyone.
