Community Flu Vaccine Clinics Announced in St. Mary’s County

LEONARDTOWN, MD (October 7, 2025) – The St. Mary’s County Health Department (SMCHD) will host FREE flu vaccine clinics for children ages six months to 18 years. No appointments are necessary unless otherwise noted below. 

SMCHD is also partnering with Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital (MSMH) for a community drive-thru flu vaccine clinic at the East Run Medical Center on October 25, 2025. MSMH will offer flu vaccine for those 19 years and older for a $10 donation; SMCHD will offer free flu vaccine for children ages six months to 18 years.

On-site clinics have been scheduled for the following dates and locations for ages six months to 18 years only:

St. Mary’s County Health Department Health Clinic

  • Friday, October 10, 2025 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am & 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (Call 301-475-4419 to make an appointment)
  • Friday, October 17, 2025 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am & 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (Call 301-475-4419 to make an appointment)
  • Friday, December 12, 2025 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am & 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Margaret Brent School-Based Health Center

  • Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Spring Ridge School-Based Health Center

  • Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

A drive-thru clinic has been scheduled for the following date and location for all ages 6 months and older:

East Run Medical Center Parking Lot

  • Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9:00 am – 1:30 pm

“Annual flu vaccinations are the most effective tool we have for preventing infection and serious illness from seasonal influenza,” said Dr. Meena Brewster, St. Mary’s County Health Officer. “We hope individuals and their families will take advantage of these convenient on-site and drive-thru clinics to get vaccinated and help prevent influenza complications in our community. Local pharmacies and medical practices are also offering the flu vaccine.”
