Nicotine Cessation Class
The FREE Quit Nicotine Program lasts 7 weeks, featuring 1-hour sessions each week. Participants learn behavioral modifications, stress management, and other techniques to help them quit using nicotine products, including vaping. Learn more or register at smchd.org/tobacco.

Menopause Matters
Hear from the experts at St. Mary’s County Health Department about the natural process of menopause. Everything to know about Alpha-Gal Syndrome
Join virtually to hear about this tickborne disease currently affecting our community. Community Baby Shower
SMCHD invites new and expecting parents who live in St. Mary’s County to a Community Baby Shower.
This FREE event will give away items to attendees, including diaper bags, diapers, baby wipes, and essential baby items, while supplies last. Special raffle items include car seats, pack ‘n-plays, and more. Additionally, families will be connected to community resources. CPR Training
SMCHD offers American Red Cross adult and pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED certification. Designed and taught by experts, the Red Cross training course satisfies OSHA-mandated job requirements, workplace or other regulatory requirements, and is also offered to community members who would like to learn these life-saving skills. This course includes student supplies and a two-year certification.

Asthma & Me Storytime
Join Asthma Care Coordinator Sareka Butler for a storytime reading session at Leonardtown Library. Sareka will give away goodie bags, a gator puzzle, and The Book “Asthma is not stopping me, Featuring Fabulous Me, Piper Lee!”. This program is meant for children ages 2-10 to enjoy with their families.
