LEONARDTOWN, MD (November 23, 2020) – Due to Thanksgiving Day holidays, the St. Mary’s County Health Department (SMCHD) offices and SMCHD COVID-19 testing sites will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, 2020.
“We are asking our community to be extra cautious this Thanksgiving and to follow guidance from the CDC on ways to safely celebrate,” said Meena Brewster, St. Mary’s County Health Officer. “Celebrating remotely or with members from your immediate household are the safest options. Avoid large gatherings and unnecessary travel to help us slow the spread of COVID-19.”
Normal testing operations will resume on Monday, November 30, 2020. For more information on local COVID-19 testing, visit: www.smchd.org/covid-19-testing.
